The Altiplano

Bolivia, Photos

One of the most popular ways to explore The Altiplano is the three-day, two-night tour between San Pedro de Atacama in Chile and Uyuni in Bolivia – a trip that can be taken in either direction.

We left San Pedro in a couple of mini vans and drove east for an hour until we reached the border, where we were greeted by the Customs and Immigration building above and the 4WDs that we’d be making the journey in.

The photo opportunities presented themselves before we even set off – six passengers and a driver in each 4WD.
